This Is Your Time

This Is Your Time

Jesus asked an interesting question to a man who was crippled for 38 years. His question: “Do you want to get well.” Almost seems like a silly question. Who in their right mind would want to remain sick? The same question is asked of us today, but it’s not so silly. Do we want to get well, free of the infirmity of sin? Jesus offers complete healing and transformation. Your time is now. How will you respond?

Thirsty Makers

Thirsty Makers

When describing the roll of the Christian, Jesus said “you are the salt of the earth.” Salt, not water, is how he referred to us. And what does salt do? It makes people thirsty. We are not called to quench thirst, but rather to make people thirsty so that Christ Himself can provide them with the water of life, the water that will make them thirst no more.

Jesus, God’s Sacrificial Lamb

Jesus, God’s Sacrificial Lamb

Every year, Christians celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus. What does the sacrifice of Jesus mean to you? The Bible tells us that God so loved the world that He gave His only son so that whoever believes in Him will not die. But what will make others see this amazing truth? What will draw others to Jesus? Is it the fact that we celebrate the sacrifice? Or could it be the transformation that results in the Christian’s life because of that sacrifice? What if the world saw you as the new creation Christ’s sacrifice brought about?

Choices

Choices

Choices – every day we make them. Our choices have an effect, on you and on others. Though we all have different choices to make, we are all faced with the same choice about eternal life – whether to choose God and be saved, or to choose the enemy, and be lost. How will you choose? When will you choose? And how will your family be affected by the choice you make and when you make it. If you hear God calling, do not delay choosing Him today.

You’re in the courtroom with Jesus and Pilate and the chief priests. The world is saying, “No good. We don’t need him. We’re done with him.” There are people in your world who are watching you. They’re making their decision passively, without engaging you. These people are on the fence, ready to make a choice for Jesus, and they’re watching you. What are they seeing?

The Privilege of Prayer

The Privilege of Prayer

We don’t always think of prayer as a privilege, but when we are engaged in an active prayer life we see just how true this is. When we rely on God and rest on His promises, when we seek the Lord with all our hearts, we will see there is power in prayer.

Things That Go Bump in the Night

Things That Go Bump in the Night

Bad things happen. We have bad days. Things don’t go according to how we expected. God didn’t answer your prayer in the way you asked. But God tell us in Isaiah 41:10: “Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Even when things don’t go as expected, we can still trust and rely on God; He is with us. He promises.
